Sharing My Love of Nature - Creating Art for Conservation
I spend a lot of time most days exploring nature: birding, botanizing, and just observing the world around me. Certain scenes and moments trigger intense feelings of joy and fascination. I save those amazing moments as sketches and treasured images in my mind.
Back in my art studio, I create artworks based on these sketches and memories to share my joy with others. My goal is to increase awareness of the beauty and diversity in nature and, through sales of my artwork, to hopefully raise funds for conservation organizations.

My most recent artwork is titled Through the Seasons. It depicts a somewhat fictional Rocky Mountain Front Range Native Plant Garden during each of the four seasons. It is loosely based on my home gardens, though I don’t have a view of Long’s Peak from my home. Read more here.
