I create each of my fused glass artworks by first cutting pieces of glass, then arranging these into a design. I then melt the pieces together at temperatures ranging from 1250 to 1600 F. In some cases, multiple firings may be involved. I choose to fire all my fused glass in my own small kiln which is powered by solar panels so that creating my art doesn’t contribute more CO2 to the atmosphere. It may not be significant in the whole scheme of things, but I feel better reducing my climate footprint in whatever ways I can. In addition, I contribute a portion of all fused glass art sales to support nature conservation.
At present, I am only selling my fused glass art at craft fairs and at the Sanderosa Art Gallery in Laporte, Colorado.
